Trevor Wallace

Trevor  Wallace is an ocean explorer and maritime archaeologist who leads research-driven expeditions to locate, document, and help protect shipwreck sites, then translates that work into immersive field education and storytelling.

He founded the Menorca Shipwreck Project, a multi-year underwater archaeology initiative in Ciutadella that combines professional research with hands-on training for citizen scientists and scholarship students. His fieldwork spans the Eastern Arctic to the Himalayas, including nine Explorers Club Flag expeditions, three as expedition leader, and he was named New Explorer of the Year (2018) for documenting the world’s oldest known Scythian tomb alongside Dr. Gino Caspari.

Wallace served a full six-year term as VP of Research & Education at The Explorers Club and continues on the Board of Directors. He is also part of the team receiving an Explorers Club Impact Grant for a maritime archaeology shipwreck search in the North Sea. His work with the Menorca Shipwreck Project has been featured by El Diario, Roqueta Magazine, IB3 (Menorca TV/news), and Menorca.info, among others.
