Exploration and Adventure

Welcome To My Journey

From the far northern reaches of North America and the Arctic, to the majestic oceans, these locales are fascinations of mine. My love of the sea and the urgent need to ensure the health of its ecosystems are my passion. As an Ethnographer, I study the history and culture of the Indigenous Peoples of these lands and the intertwining with the land, the water, and the marine and animal life. Join me on my adventures.

Exploration has been always in my blood. Whether it was going to the ocean and dreaming of majestic far-off lands or  whether it was following some river or trail into off-grid wilderness, I was there if not in body, then in spirit. The one thing that was constant was water and either wondering where it would take me or hoping into a sailboat, a Jon boat, a catamaran, or a kayak and finding out what lies beyond it.

I could trace my adventuresome nature to my early childhood and then watch it progress through the years. Even today, I am still seeking the mysteries of the ocean. I’ve explored portions of the Atlantic and the Pacific. I’m no stranger to the Caribbean or the Texas Gulf Coast or for that matter, The Inside Passage.

Chronicled here are my adventures, explorations, and dreams of the people and places I’ve been and still to come. Kayaking transitioned to sailing, to snorkeling, and to scuba diving. The adventures may take me to places far away from central Texas but one thing is certain, they will be on or in the open sea.
