Jim was the Season 4 winner of the self-shot survival reality series ‘Alone’ on the History Channel. Jim also has a NatGeo TV series call “Home in the Wild” which is now streaming on Disney+. His passion is the outdoors. He has a deep love of our natural world and navigating through remote places on self-guided, self-propelled, multi-week expeditions. Jim shares these adventures through compelling video, photography, writing and speaking.
The list of extreme trips he has done include a month-long canoe expedition in northern Quebec and Labrador on the Adlatok River, a five week trip down the Kuujjua River and along the Arctic coast, 300 miles north of the Arctic Circle, and a 36 day solo trek to cross the northern Ungava Peninsula in winter. He has completed a 14-day solo trip on the Yukon’s Hart River and that was in addition to paddling the Bonnet Plume and Hess Rivers of the Yukon..
